Deviation Actions
If you want to put your deviation up in the club's gallery, here are a few simple rules:
1. You have to be a member of the club to be allowed to send in deviations for display in the club's gallery.
2. The range of deviations: You can submit basically anything from Rurouni Kenshin, but the emphasis is on battle. Battle scenes are certainly the best, then battle-ready (erm... ) characters and finally characters in generic poses and environment. But if you are thinking about sending in some love-struck deviations then just forget about it. We are hitokiri and we just cannot go soft. Sorry, but the life of a hitokiri is not that sweet. No "realistic" (EXISTence) pictures are accepted. "Chibi"s are not accepted either. There is also the consideration, that the whole picture must be your doing, unless it is a wallpaper. Scanned pictures from manga coloured in a computer or screenshots from the anime with some added colour / effects are not accepted, sorry. The club wants to see what is in you!
3. If your deviation meets the rules above, send in a note saying which deviation from your gallery you would like to see in the club's gallery too.
4. I will shrink the image to the size of subscriber's thumbnails and put it up in the gallery. This is to deter people from faving the pictures in the club's gallery and to actually have a look at, comment and fav your picture in your gallery. Yes, I do care you get your hard-earned favs and comments.
This four-step process does not take ages like in other clubs, it should not take more than two days. Usually it will be in the club's gallery within a day unless I am unable to get internet access, which I will try to advertise beforehand - by changing the "dangerous" mood to "outta here". Even in such a case, it shall not take longer than one week. If I break this promise it probably means that I have honorably died in battle.

Caring for your katana
In this journal, we will have a look at how to care properly for your favourite weapon. Please note that most of this applies to other swords and daggers too.
First of all, you have to be careful when handling the katana in the first place. Even though most katanas today are made of stainless steel, it is a very bad idea to touch the blade with your fingers (or other parts of your skin). Even if the stainless steel does not visibly rust, human skin is acidic and affects the metal subtly. If you accidentally touch the blade and leave the fingerprints on it, they may react with the steel and it will be impossible to clean them later. From othe
HCC1 contest - winner!
iator (https://www.deviantart.com/iator) Here we go, the first contest of the 人斬クラブ (Hitokiri club)! First, I will tell you about the good things. The good things are these two volumes of original Japanese Manga - Rurouni Kenshin vol. 1 & 2., which you can win:
If you by any chance do not like them, you can get a year's subscription to DeviantART instead. Your choice.
I hope you find this prizes a sufficient compensation for the harsh rules. Yes, harsh, very harsh when compared to the other clubs' contests. But this is the Hitokiri club, we cannot get soft. So on to the bad things - on to the rules:

Time pool for Akabeko
In this journal, I will try to explain how time zones work for those who are not yet familiar with them. And for the others there is a list of times from some members when they are likely to be in Akabeko, ready to use. If your name is not on the list and you would like to let others know when you are available, just send me a note saying from which state (if you are from a big country like the USA) you are from and the times when you are likely to be in Akabeko. I will update the list as soon as possible after receiving more information.
All times use the 24-hour format! I will explain everything, just read on.

Sorted member list, benefits and affiliates
New features! There are now "revered members" and "leaders" of the individual groups (of course "unallied" group does not have a leader, since it is not a group as such).
How to become a leader or a revered member and what are the benefits?
:bulletred: Becoming a leader is very simple - you just have to be the longest-surviving member of your group.
:bulletblue: You become a revered member automatically when you are active in the club for more than two months.
:bulletgreen: And the benefits: by becoming a revered member you can decide on the future of the club. If there is anything you really want to change, send me a note, I will send a
